Clutches

The Clutch Repair Is An Important Component In A Standard Style Vehicle It directly engages the rotating shafts which draw motion from the engine, and deliver it to rotating components in the vehicle. The clutch is usually positioned between the gearbox and the engine, and it allows you to change gears as you drive. By engaging the clutch, you can switch from first to second and so on, as you follow the RPM of the engine It is very Important for your vehicle to repair bad clutch While you’re there, let us perform Check. Can you drive your car away if it fails the MOT?

In any other circumstances, driving the vehicle would be breaking the law. The answer is that you can still drive your vehicle if it fails the test and its existing MOT certificate is still valid (i.e. if your test was before the expiry date) as long as no 'dangerous' problem(s) were listed in the MOT Major MOT Faults A ‘major’ fault is more serious, poses a potential safety risk to drivers and others. It could also be a defect that has a damaging impact on the environment. These faults will result in a MOT failure and the owner will not be issued with an MOT pass certificate until the issues have been rectified. Example: Using the same vehicle as an example, if two of the three brake lights are inoperative (specifically, more than ½), the vehicle will receive a Major defect on the MOT. MOT Test

MOT testing is required by law on all vehicles in the UK that are 3 years old or more. The annual inspection follows strict criteria set out by the DVSA that determines if your car is fit for purpose and in roadworthy condition. The MOT test covers a broad range of vehicle safety checks including lights, tyres, seatbelts and emissions and can only be carried out by a MOT garage with DVSA-approved examiners. During the MOT test the nominated tester, a person accredited by the DVSA to assess your vehicle, will conduct a comprehensive inspection to ensure the vehicle is in roadworthy condition. However, it is not the same as having your vehicle serviced and the MOT test does not check the general mechanical condition of the vehicle. Also, the assessment is based on the condition of the vehicle on the day. Air Filter Replacement

Air filters prevent dirt and other materials from getting into vehicles™ engines and should be changed or services annually to ensure trouble-free engine function. Forgetting to change or service the air filters on your car can cause airborne debris such as leaves and dust to find their way into the engine. This grime can then mix with the oil, which, when moved around the engine, can slowly wear away engine components due to its abrasive nature. If left for a while, a clogged and useless air filter can cause serious damage to your engine, reducing its performance and costing you more money than the cost of a filter. How do I know if my air filter needs changing? Make sure you know the warning signs of a failing filter, so you can have a better sense of when it should be replaced. Fuel Mileage. Misfiring. Unusual Engine Sounds. Service Engine Light. Reduced Horsepower. Black Smoke or Flames Exiting the Exhaust. Fuel Smell. Do car air filters need to be replaced? Your car's engine ...

Timing Belt/ Cambelt

Timing Belt/ Cambelt Timing Belt is a rubber belt which controls the timing of internal combustion engines. It is vital in the process of making the car run smoothly as it also ensures the crankshaft and camshaft rotate in synchronisation. A snapped timing/cam belt is uncommon however tension issues are more widespread. If the belt is too loose it will end up whipping around inside the engine which will cause a variety of knock on effects and if the belt is too tight it will put a strain on the bearings of the cogs, it's fitted to. A tight belt will cause a whining noise to be emitted from the engine so if you hear this sound make sure to book a repair as soon as possible. You shouldn’t wait until this happens though, as the damage caused by a faulty cambelt will end up costing you even more money in repairs. What’s the Lifespan of A Typical Cam Belt? As a rule, you can expect a timing belt to last up to five years, or 60,000 miles. In cars where this replacement is needed, it is ...
